^^^^^^^^^^^ You must have been the 0.01% then, lol. I deal with body people daily and it was just my opinion. The £10k price wasnt for a good job it was a top bolok job, the vans got a rotten roof don't forget.

We should all start to live before we get too old. Fear is stupid. So are regrets.

Re: Welding and Paint Costs
So what is an acceptable labour rate that owners wish to pay for this kind of work?
How much as an hourly rate?
or how much have people paid / been quoted?
Just interested, as there are often different opinions about a fair rate (for proper repairs, not quick bodges/blowovers)

restoman. it totally depends on the type of garage/paint shop you go, if they have a smallish garage id guess from £20 /25 an hour, if someone is doing it as a hobby or there on the dole or semi retired £75/100 a day cash.A big big garage proberly make a "pooh" job of it will want £80/90 an hour. What do you want doing?

Re: Welding and Paint Costs
Firstly,I hope Alex you do get whatever you want doing to your van sorted .
I can only express my own experience, as an example I posted under the heading
New Front End ( 18.Aug.15) some photographs of work carried out on my van .
This in no way was designed to criticise bona fide Traders and hope my opinion
is not taken out of context .
Atb,
Chris
