I'm a bit unsure about this, "if you try to start it 5 times it goes into lockdown mode"???

When i got my van the Eberspacher B1 didnt work. I tried on tons of occasions to try and get it started and it never did until last weekend.

Last weekend on the advice from Mocki i replaced the fuel pump as i knew mine was knackered.

I also took the exhaust pipe off, cleaned up the spark plug and after a couple of attempts it went, i heard it roaring a bit like a gas fire underneath. Great feeling. So does the thing really need re-setting after 5 failed start attempts?

After that it switched off and hasnt started again since. I think the plug is knackered, the ceramic coating has broken down on it.
