Yes took the van in early November said I wasn't in a hurry as don't use the van too much over winter, but only just got it back last week, they took the engine out, and did several jobs other than the water jacket seal, the cylinders weren't too bad so kept them. All seems to be running well with no leaks. I can't tell you how much it cost as several other jobs were done at the same time.

Only problem is now I have the oil buzzer coming on, they check the oil pressure, which was ok, so maybe electrical fault, and rear lights aren't working properly either, mechanic on holiday so yet to find out.

Wanting to get all this sorted before 1500 mile round trip to Scotland end of May, glad lm in the AA!

Didn't mean to be pessimist on your post but it looked very similar to my leak, is that what has been diagnosed?

Cheers mate

I have just today fixed a leak in what I think is a similar place. I had a leak from the electrical sensor which is pushed into, clipped into the bottom of the thermostat housing, held in with a 'C' spring clip, and facing towards the front of the car. It was the O ring that seals which needed replacing. five minute job and a dry garage floor!

Was this van at Interpro in Thornbury?
There was a nice looking green van there a week or so ago, similar to the pic in your comments.

Not that one - mine was the white Holdsworth with Audi wheels, but I do remember the van you are referring to.
I think you were driving out when I went to pick mine up.

Nice paint job by the way.!

Have you been using them along time , I originally took my van there to have a stainless steel exhaust fitted, about a year ago, then been using them to do services and repairs, they are bit more expensive than them last garage I was using, but Jason is very good at giving you all the info about what he's doing.

No, I only went there for the stainless exhaust too.
I had a bit of an issue where the tailpipe fell off a few days after they fitted it though...

Seriously - It was there at home showing it off to my mate - got in the van, drove to work, showed a couple of colleagues who like to laugh at the amount of money I seem to be spending, and I notice the small tailpipe on the end is missing...
( they thought that was the funniest thing they had heard all year. :? )

In fairness Interpro are sending another to me in the post, but I expected a bit of a better customer experience for £900 notes...

Not having much luck with traders lately.
I also recently bought a `complete` VW power steering setup from a trader who sells bits here - intending to fit it after the summer.
After 2 lots of postage, a few missing bits, a few excuses and now several un answered/returned calls and texts, I am still waiting for the UJ to be sent.

Another few days of the silent routine and it may be `name and shame` time

Lastly, I generally use a garage in Pill for my MOTs though ( The Old Dub Shop. ) I have only owned the van about two years, so haven't tried many others but they seem good enough. I may use them for body work this year too, once I have taken the time to see some of their work on other vans.

Who did the body work and paint on yours?
