I used a Dremel tool to open mine up and self tapping screws to put it back together, easy job.

I just chiselled the tabs apart with a hammer and a sturdy flat blade driver. Smashed 2 of the 4 mounting bolts on the bulkhead and had to drill and tap them to get it back in place. To re-seal the enclosure i just used plastic pipe weld solvent and gravity.

My motor speed resistor failed about a week after I put it back together so I'm going to make a PWM controller instead, means I don't have to mess about getting back into the enclosure etc.
