Nice one. Now I'm just wondering if the high temp glue will react with the closed cell foam il be using for insulation!
Did you cover your entire van with the material from MVM or just hightop and how many metres did you buy? I'm doing everything; hightop, all door cards and various bits of trim. I'm thinking 10 metres should be enough, I can always get a little more if needs be.

Jon
I cant remember if it was 10 or 12 meters, but ours is a bit taller than yours and although we only did the high top we did the bed boards and the rear door card. We also had a bit left over.
The glue did not react with the foil that we put on (double sided bubble foil on a roll from the likes of B&Q at about £11 per roll, we used just over 1 roll)

Re: Making the pull out bed part in a high top.
Managed to get the pull out bed sorted. Made a frame around the inside where the bed pulls out and sits on. The side planks are sat on wedges the are glued to the van just for initial balance rather than overall strength. To hold this in place firmly I fixed part of the frame to the top of the b pillar roof brace. (Will swap the bolts for shorter ones later) Took a few cuts till I was happy with the width of the bed but better to cut long to start with.
Just got to sort something to hold the bed in place when out as a bed and up during the day. Thinking of a simple bolt catch.

I also made the base to the cupboard above the cab. Again, fixed the frame to the van itself. Screwed the base to the frame and made a back to the cupboard as I could imagine it being hard to get something that has rolled right to the front of the hightop.

I have the cupboard front recycled from the old interior. A little worn but I think it's birch ply so might as well up cycle it.(well, the misses can)

Had some fun cutting our memory foam mattress into 3 for the rock n roll bed.

That's looking really good Jon.
I just used a block of wood each side to stop the bed sliding when in bed position, you could even cover with carpet.
Ours is open at the front, can t decide if to put a cupboard there or not yet.

I don't know if this will help, but we have 2 x slide out wooden pieces that pull out and slide along those bits under the window, they then slide back under the front and are locked in place for daytime/driving.
We've also found that cot mattresses are the perfect length laid widthways in the high top, and are much cheaper than foam pieces (even though they are foam pieces!)
