If you would like to pm me a price for the panel it would be much appreciated. Is there only really one manufacturer or new panels then? Just different suppliers.

so far ive come across a couple of different manufacturers and both as bad/good as each other, i hear a well know company are awaiting some so i will get one and see, there are also dozens or upper rhd panels about that are fit for scrap, really scrap,

After a close look i think it would be easier and cheaper, to get the lower repair section available from JK, as the rot doesnt extend past the bottom of the lower aperture. also need to repair above the drivers wiper spindle as there is a whole under the window rubber. no water has been getting in that i have seen so should be too bad.

I'm just trying to work out what's Gonne be best and easiest to fit. I somehow feel that the full panel would be easiest....

Well most of the work is removing the lower lips etc and making good once this is done you have to decide ho you join to the remnant of the old panel and where, some lower repairs have a bot more depth and include the cut out for the lower grill, they are also in my opinion a pain to line up etc and o wouldn't use one again .
If your going for the short lower repair one you would fins it easier ,sepwmds on how high the rot has gone , you could try posting a picky its not hard :rofl
