Thanks for responses. I tried a different approach and looked on Amazon for a truck wheel cover - this one came up and for £12 delivered I thought it worth a try - arrived today - perfect fit - seems to be made of rubber - makes the wheel look and feel 100% better.The one they sent was all black and not two tone but I'm not bothered as it looks just as good.

Just received a steering wheel cover from 'Mr Steering' (ebay). Really pleased with it and the delivery time / cost to Spain.
If you want one for a Caravelle w/o power steering the size you want is 140cm x 8.5cm, I have told the seller that i'd try to find the size of the smaller wheel with p/s, so if anybody is near one with a tape measure, please let me know the circumference's of the wheel and the grip. Thanks!
