My whole interior (walls, ceiling, & units) is from birch plywood & has a simple, fresh scandinavian appearance. Wall linings are of 6mm board, ceiling of 3 mm (or was it 4mm? - has to curve into the corners) and the units as follows: surface of storage unit 12mm for stiffness but supported from behind about every 400mm; cooker unit of made-up hollow panels (compare with a lightweight hollow-core door) using 4mm birch ply skins sandwiching a pine framework - make sure there's a pine batten inside anwhere you want to screw on another component (hope this doesn't sound like gibberish!). If you're without clamps, you could use contact adhesive to make your own hollow-core panels.

Clear finish is OSMO Polyx oil brushed on. Whole thing is relatively 'evironmentally sound' (albeit in a motor vehicle!). Might get pics up one day.

I got this from Bus furniture, made from marine grade ply, very light and a great finish. My interior may not be practical for some but they do more traditional stuff too.Try www.busfurniture.co.uk

you know those flip up tops people have, (which hide cookers n sinks etc)what do you call the bracket things which make the lid stay up? Anyone know where you can get them from? I htought you'd be able to get em in B&Q but i couldn't see any...

Hi, Screwfix do most types of brackets or you could look on the net for DIY caravan interiors. Most caravan and camping centres will have them as replacement parts too. Hope this helps, Jamie.

Stays. Lots of sorts. If stuck at both B&Q & Screwfix (surely they must?) try an architectural ironmongers.
