Anyone know where I can find a complete parts list for a CS engine to JX conversion? I'm sure I stumbled across it on the net but cant seem to find it?

Best conversion for ease of fitting/cost/power in my opinion is 1.6D to 2.0 gti petrol (8v agg). I was an AAZ fan, but now I'm converted (sorry for the pun). I've owned a CS (painful) and an AAZ (great), and I've done 1Y, AAZ, and AGG conversions - I would definitely advise you to go GTI, and for diesel equivalent economy add an LPG conversion. Powerful, quiet, smooth, economical, and still cheaper and MUCH easier to do than a TDI.

That sounds hugely expensive for a GTI petrol conversion & an LPG conversion. What are were talking ball park? For each option?

Yes i must agree and these engines are plentifull and cheap as chips.Complete engines from a sharan or golf aprox £150 to £250 .

As said above, engines are cheap and plenty around. Lots on ebay for under £250. Even better to find an old Golf (MOT failure, maybe) and buy complete car so you can see/hear it running, and you know the ECU, immobiliser and loom etc are all complete and working. Sell off/weigh in the rest when done to recoup a little cash.
Then the next stage is fitting it. Much easier than some will make out (ask Elvis, he's a big fan of the AGG). I have seen some places quoting over £3k for the conversion, but this is too much imho.
OK, the final cost depends on a few things, eg do you need any other prep work, or flywheel, or engine mounts, or hoses, radiator etc, which can all be decided on a case by case basis, but I would estimate a little over £2k to do it properly (ie new clutch, spigot bearing, cambelt, tensioner, water pump, thermostat, spark plugs, oil & filter, jx exhaust adapter flange and new exhaust system, throttle cable adapter, sump gasket, etc etc).
Then you need the LPG doing to get the best of both worlds. Our recommended conversion would be £1150 all inclusive, with spare wheel tank (full of lpg), and blos or closed loop upgrade (other "cheaper" conversion companies are available - check what you get first :wink: ), so for well under £3.5k you would have a lovely driving, reliable and very economical van.
