Thank you so much for all your advice. I think I best get saving for a gearbox rebuild. In the mean time ill join the AA and stay local. Ill keep a flask and some biscuits in the van. When it eventually gives up ill have a cup of tea and enjoy the view. Thanks again

Just a thought. Can I fit a DH 4 speed petrol box into my van. There are more of them around and it may keep me moving while I save for a rebuild.
