The white syncro-singlecab show-team soon to be appearing (by special invitation) at Tatton Park. :D

In this pic, Alex's singlecab checks the rear of a pretty Westie displaying herself in the next row

This was supposed to be a pic of the singlecab with its proud creator, but he snuck away at the last moment

However I got him in this pic, chatting to the builder of that Caddy, running a turbo'd VR6 with 4motion running gear. It has aftermarket engine management, and he's aiming for 500bhp.

Mk1 caddy. Makes my top three of cars owned and enjoyed. Also the very first forum I ever joined. That example is pretty naughty but the single cabs are another level IMHO. By the way which one is Alex?

Interested. Turned down a diesel with head gasket issue recently . It was standard issue burgundy just like mine, my neighbour dropped it round to offer it to me. I went to work. When I can home my other half went up the wall " why have you bought another pile of poop VW?" . I declined the offer of that one. Shame really as it was a one owner. Solid.

Ok, update on the sika so far...it's upsetting me! Ticking noise wasn't the trade plate...really a bit odd and I'm thinking its the n75 valve transmitting noise right through the shell to the front...just plain odd! Stops every so often and always stops with ignition clicked off..more time needed there..also the engine is really noisy! Could be the Mickey Mouse cheapo tappets I kinda used..or could be tired injectors...or is it just echoing off the sika! Either way its loud and so is the turbo!

Wheel alignment done today...not much fun but got there in the end..need to sort out the noises by weekend..swapping injectors tomorrow to rule those out, then tappets are going in the bin...if its still noisy it will have to do.

Found a duff tappet today so hopefully all will be well again soon...don't be tempted to buy tappets off ebay folks..stick to INA proper ones!
