Well i been busy but picks and the like will be slower as im sorting an alternative to p**sbucket, really had enough of its slowness.youd think im on dialup
anyhow
stripped it out a few days ago and as i suspected its had others in there playing at some point in the past
the ns front panal that some kind soul tried to deseam well i think that was their aim
Image
even a build up of bodge round the glued in washer jet (its a pattern piece of crap as well)
Image
28 seconds for the img code to acknowledge ,i mean !
Image
the way it looks is a new upper and lower front panal will be the order of the day to do it right
oh,went here the other evening, :D
Image
the 1/4 light was a bit of a struggle to remove,

Image
slider needs a skin inside and out
Image
this is the osr wing/1/4 join, well it would be a join if it was a tad closer, its sat back as well picky dont do it justice
Image
and this is the 'join' with the fridge panal.massive gap , and all out of line, now the other clue is in the next picky
Image
here you can see on the left is the lip of the fridge panal. behind it is the lip of the rear wing and behind that isd the C post, now tell me where is the lip from the recent rear wing :rofl
Image
i wont go into detail with my thoughts but suffice to say they didnt remove any interior to fit it. i figure they welded the seam and filled it, will see tomoz
gonna post this as funny things are happening on screen , bucket related

Flickr.

200 photos free, or you can pay a little for unlimited - but if you have more, the links to the ones that "fall off the end" still work, so they'd still show in threads like these.

I'm surprised at that "de-seam". My money was definitely on structural porridge.

indeed it may be either . will see when the pod is off, trouble with folks doing this is it makes it a lot harder to reinstate the correct seam, and here its in your face visible !

Well.oooo eck the plot thickens , im going to have to use a term that is sort of Essex way well fidget uses it , Shonky, so i will suggest thet this van has been in the mits of a few shonkers.
wether its an original wing or a replacement the same cut is required to remove the bulk of the panal and leave the fixing areas exposed, in this case whilst i had figured a few things now the interior was out the way i didnt quite expect this
Image
it has a few tacks along the top and the rest was adhered ! with a combination of expanding foam and an assortment of sealants, a first for me
and they even left a bity of the old arch behinnd to adhere to
Image
at the rear here they cut the old bit of probably to help align it to the rear 1/4, that or it was rotted off
Image
have to give up for a bit as this has took 35 minutes
mm :x
