Re: surrey lanes on the 16th dec
Ummm, just realised a problem...
Does anyone have a Diesel engine bash plate and bolts I could borrow for the day?
Just realised I've not put mine back on since putting my gearbox back in....

I only have a spare petrol one.
I can't think of anywhere that you would need protection. Most of the lanes I've done are pretty tame really and most are muddy/sand.

Peach of a day. Finally got all the tribe out in the Doka. 5 vans started. Lost Tom with CV joint. Then Neil went down with rear outer CV. Sorted on the fly. Then my clutch went on a tricky lane. Escape effected in dark and heavy rain and towed to nearest pub. Cheers to Al, Neil and Nick for the tows. Can I just say that I don't think the kids will be tearing my arm off to come again.

My only pic of the day, just for you Jes.

Tricky lane? Was that the one at Farley Green? That's where we met before when you turned up in your car.
That's the best lane.

It's a cracker isn't it!
Felt somewhat sketchy driving it with no engine protection and fresh paint on my van, but very enjoyable all the same!
