Whats the ideal size of earthing cable to use??

Do you mean the earth from the consumer unit to the vehicle bodywork?

There is no cable size specified in the section of the regs for campervans other than a minimum of 1.5mm. This refers to circuits wired in multicore sheathed cable though and this earth is a single unsheathed cable so unless it is protected against mechanical damage (conduit and the like) the minimum stated in the main body of the regs is 4mm so I'd go with that as anything smaller wouldn't be very robust.

Now I've actually looked in the regs, I notice the minimum c.s.a for 16A hook up cables is 2.5mm :wink:
