You will find that JK charge a premium for most parts. For example a DG crankcase breather pipe is £30 at brickwerks but nearly £70 at JK 
I can only go off my own personal experience regarding mild steel exhaust parts but the status vw description is promising. Maybe ask them who's their supplier is?
