So, you work for VW?
I do yes...cant say i enjoy the newer stuff but pays the bills...sometimes a t3 comes in and everyone hides, love the old stuff and been with vw (and audi to a degree)since about 92 and i think build quaity was at its peak at about 94...but the products were best around 83/85.

I bought my first new VW in 1981, a Mk1 Jetta LD which was bullitproof and Im now on my 12th new VW, a Passat 4motion Estate (I love it !!) and I firmly believe that the build ethos with VW has not changed but the manufacturing technology and process has. Its got to such a point nowadays that you would have to try hard to build a bad car - unless you are French ...... or Italian.
