That looks wicked, fair play!! ... Did you cover all of the panel with fabric glue or just sections?

Re: Seat re-trim - Places, Prices and Ideas etc.
Okay guys .... so far I have found the following upholsterors and prices:
Traffic Trim - Front seats and rear cushions = £750 in Vinyl (They also have a £895 special offer for front seats, rock and roll bed and pannels etc.
DubFather = £870 after a reduction in price for front and rear seats in Vinyl (Cheapest he can do if paying upfront) - He seems a really nice and genuione guy aswell ... he has sent me free samples of material and colours he thought would go in my Bernard!
THIS PRICE ALSO INCLUDES PICK UP AND DELIVERY FROM/TO CARDIFF
Creative Trimming / The Camper shak = Cab seats if they are the originals – price per seat: Premier £170 Superior £180 Elegance £190
THIS PRICE INCLUDES BRAND NEW FOAMS!!!
(with no head or arm resets)
Premier one colour vinyl
Superior Main colour with a second colour piping
Elegance Main Colour with a second colour inserts and piping
The cost for the vw logo on each seat would be £10 per seat
I am still waiting for a price on rear cushions after sending them measurements ...
Newton Commercial = can collect the seats with Parcelforce to bring them back to Newton commercial. The charge is £11.94 per seat. Return carriage is exactly the same price.
I am currently awaiting a price after sending measurements and he is in the process of sending me an assortment of samples they have to offer.
Top Seat Covers = I found this site which supplies covers that are specifically made to fit your seat ... you can personalise them on their website or email them the design you want ... this is the price they sent:
£350.00 for the rear seats only it will be + £139.99
for the front two singles seats.
It’s possible to create/ match the front and rear covers as they will
be made from the same material.
It will not be possible to match the original seats.
Our covers are all made by hand and take time to get right.
Springers Upholstery in Cardiff = £750 for front, rear and curtains ... The price however was oringinally over £1000 but got reduced after I offered to mention his name at festivals etc if he did my upholstery ... He said he would give me flyers/broshures to put by my T25 when at festivals and do it at £750 for doing that for him.
I hope this helps and also helps anyone else looking for upholstery in the future ... I will be updating
as I receive more info

I also think your missing something..Quality and finish .
price is no indicator of this and to me it's the most important, That's why I chose traffictrim... but then if your not fussy about quality

Yeah I couldn't really mention quality on here as can't really show it but so far, have seen quality of Springers Upholstery which to be fair was awesome, he has done a million pound yacht, aeroplanes, cars and .... .VW campers, - he has a T5 himself that he has upholstered and it is similar to the red seat on traffic trims website but green to match his van and looks wkd ... he also mentioned the possibility of building up the seat with foam etc.
I have also been to see two companies in Pembrokeshire, one did a boat conopy on my Dads boat a year or so back and one did a boat canopy on my Dad's mates boat and also his plane seats ... both were awesome quality jobs so once I get quotes off them I will update.
As for quality of the rest, I cannot comment as have not seen them in the flash but all photos seem really good. The Newton company sent me quite a few photographs of before and after which was incredible what they seemed to have done but again not seen them close up so unsure of quality.
All samples I have received have been of a very high quality.
But again, I set up this post mainly for Prices and ideas for my interest and also to benefit anyone it the future so they can see the options open to them

Cheers,
Cal

Kev,
Just had a quick look through your pics ... Youve done a cracking job on your camper mate fair play. - Did u get the side door panel done by traffictrim or leave it as it was?
I'm thinking of having my seats done similar style to yours but due to having a wine/burgandy trim around centre of outside and same colour curtains i'm thinking of having wine centre and piping with cream on the rest and wine coloured vw logo at top centre

yes tim did the door panels.
he's doing my head lining soon, he can also vinyl cover the dashboard in two tone, my mate had this done and it looks fantastic.
Tim has done several vans from 80-90 over the years...never heard a bad comment about his upholstery work, or the time taken to complete it

Aww wicked, to be honest I would be really keen to give him a go but the distance is a bit of an issue and fuel there and back would increase the cost quite heavily

That's very true but why travel all that way and spend more when there's a guy that's done a million pound yacht, luxioury conchord and 137 VW campers only 100 miles away from me and cheaper?

Which fabric supplier does TrafficTrim use Kev? ... So far I have Ross Fabric, Yarwood and Kayospruce Ltd seeming the better quality materials i've seen/felt to date. Anyone had any good/bad experience with them?
Cheers

Re: Seat re-trim - Places, Prices and Ideas etc.
My point was, I don't think the fabric supplier would make much of a difference I supplied Tim with half of mine (sourced from Audi )... it's the bloke using it that usually does, the cost of quality is retrospective in the long term as reupholstered furniture should last another twenty five years. that assurance is worth more than a tank full of petrol.
In a similar vein I took my van to be welded with a fella of good repute.. I could have saved three tankfulls of fuel but, quality beckoned.
that's me done too.. hold the door Mike I'm just coming
