Interesting the guy says at the beginning "there was no mark, I didn't hit anything, just 'snap' and I went straight". Um, look at 47 seconds in and the broken housing has a HUGE dent in it on the forward face where you'd drive into something with it, right exactly ON the crack. Cough....

The Rubicon is a legendary trail here in the US. In a well prepared short wheelbase vehicle with solid axles, some armor (bumpers, rocker guards) and a lift you will likely sustain body damage even if you are a very good offroad driver. If you are extremely good, you may not, or in an extremely well prepared vehicle. I have never been on that trail, and would not take my triple locked LandCruiser on it. In fact, the only way I'd go through the Rubicon would be driving someone else's vehicle. Lots of good video on that trail and here in the US it's considered one of about 5 nationally known trails that are legends. Even that heavily modified and highly unique Syncro would be a candidate for some heavy body damage with its exposed rocker panels and lack of armored bumpers. That is a really serious looking Syncro, however. Hope the owner posts some video of it in action this weekend.
