Nice work, thanks for the photos, I like all those storage compartments Do you miss the extra bed width that you've lost though?
Our lpg tank is in the wardrobe and I'm toying with the idea of removing the wardrobe to see if that'll make it easier to fit a 3 point seatbelt on that side of the van. I would then box around the lpg tank, if it would be possible without causing problems for the seat belt.

Looking for: window apertures for side windows, at the back of the van
T25; 1985; RHD; 1.9DG petrol / LPG; white Autosleeper high-top; Looking rusty again!
My wife doesn't like my "pokey" van she prefers our "spacious" caravan with all the bells and whistles. We used to have a 5 berth motorhome but my wife didn't like cycling or going on the scooter we dragged around with us so we sold it and bought the caravan which I don't like towing. I bought the VW just for me and have changed it to suit my needs. Since I always sleep with my feet under the parcel shelf the slight reduction in width is not a problem. The parcel shelf and locker are easily removed when I am using it as a van and not camping.

1985 Autosleeper VHT 1.9 auto. (later called Trident) converted to run on LPG
Hi all, after years with an LT28 got an 85 Autosleeper trooper and a million questions. everything in this thread is about tridents, any Trooper readers?
1984 1.9 DG, Petrol, Watercooled, Autosleeper Trooper, feels bigger than our old LT 28!

troopers just had less stuff as standard
mine doesn't even have a name!
C'mon Rev.Jones, the Auto-Sleeper Trooper & Trident are not the same. The Trooper is a solid sided pop-top whereas the Trident is a high-top. Basically, the VT20 became the Trooper & the VHT became the Trident.
I realise that you have had a momentary lapse (senior moment) Kev. By the way, your van (Carol Camper) is a VHT as you told me years ago.

OK I agree, it is different, scratch what I said.
I was thinking of the fittings, they became similar after the alcove seat was dropped from production
I think the late nights of racing against time to get the van ready for the weekend have finally pushed me over the edge You have to admit it's a good song though
