Failure of plastic gear linkage bush

As the title suggests, I was doing some routine maintenance and discovered that my rear gear linkage bush has basically crumbled apart, I’ll try to add a photo

I guess I’ve used the wrong grease for it to be affected so badly, does anyone have any prior experience of it happening before

Its most likely one from that bad batch that all places were selling several years ago, Brickwerks dont sell that make anymore.
