Hey everyone I have a T25 1.6 diesel JLX engine and I took it to the garage for a fuel leak, they said it was the fuel pump so they took the pump off and sent it away and put it back on again and it runs absolutely fine.
I have noticed though they're is still a fuel leak when I park up and have the engine running, it's dripping quite fast. I have found where the dripping is coming from but can't see what is actually leaking. I have taken a photo hope someone on here can help me.
Really appreciate it!

Re: Fuel leak after pump recon
I am not a diesel expert, but my generic motoring knowledge would suspect a badly seated seal or gasket.
Or at worst, an old seal or gasket has been re-used.
I would be tempted to check that all securing bolts have been nipped-up properly.
But don't go swinging on them to tighten them up, for obvious reasons.

Start at the top and work your way down.
Injector leak-off hoses are a favourite for leaking.
( I would de-grease that engine before anything then you will be able to see things clearly.)

Re: Fuel leak after pump recon
Thank you guys, my dad had a look this morning and he found most the leak off pipes were cracked or brittle and was leaking fuel from there which was running down the back of the engine

So your garage charged you for nothing and your mechanic didnt notice the pipes.
Get a new garage pal.

Re: Fuel leak after pump recon
Request a refund for the unnecessary pump overhaul - bloody garages. Computer reader rather than mechanic more than likely.
