This evenings rain has shown up a leak that appears to come from where the canvas meets the van. It is a 1986 Bilbo Conversion, so about 30 years old, and the canvas itself is fine, just the join to the van.
Is there a good way of sealing this without having to remove and replace the current fittings?

How is the awning connected to the van? Maybe some pictures would help?

Re: Leaky awning seam
Now it has stopped tipping down, have managed to get out and have a look, see how bad it is. It doesn't look too bad, just looks like the old seal has deteriorated and become unstuck.
Would a standard silicone be ok to reseal, or do I need something specific for this job?
Amy advice appreciated.

A bead of silicon sealant from inside. If you are able to get to, it will be neater as it will be covered up by the trim and the mattress.
