Did you use anti squeal paste on the back of the pads where there is any metal/metal contact.
You should always replace brake hardware (disks , pads) across the axle at the same time.
Usually thats why they are only sold in 2

Ah that must be my issue, I’ll put some copper grease on the pads and change the other side too then, thanks for all the help

drive it home, then check the pads are floating in the caliper, often a build up of old dust and rust stops them moving freely, and lube the backs of them as detailed in the manual
