Hi Everybody,
This is my first topic, I searched for the same topic
And couldn’t find anything so please let me know if not allowed.
My 87 t25 top joker needs new rain gutters asap. In one side it’s completely gone and the other side is quickly going the same way.
I managed to find some rain gutter repairs and was wondering if i can fit them. By what I searched I might need to remove the high top which is a crazy amount of work to do it by myself so my question is if anyone has a better/faster way to do it.
I could weld new gutters but then all the rust that’s on the inside will remain there and potentially create more problems in the future.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Rain gutters
It’s high top off and under the high top it will be rotten as well.
Also if I was doing it again I’d get body cuts like this 274086012614 eBay

Re: Rain gutters
All the substructure will be rotten too, it’s fairly involved and unless your van is super special etc financially is probably not worth the repair costs

Unless you think you’ll enjoy doing it yourself and have the time.

Mine looked like this!
Re: Rain gutters
My gutters are also in need of repair.
I want to DIY it but don't know where to start.
Did redo my interior last year and what I could see of the inside roof was in mint condition .
Can of worms here I come.
Any tips on where and how to start removal of my hitop greatly appreciated

Re: Rain gutters
Took my roof off a few years ago. Sharp knife from the inside, then when I made a wee gap, a bicycle brake or gear cable passed through to my willing assistant and use it like a saw, from what I remember. I think that method was only partially successful, and I had to resort to the knife again at times. Might have used a relatively thin bread (serrated) knife. Then push up the high top, and get the van undercover, and drown your sorrows.
