Check all the pipes & hoses that run between the carbs. Start on the left carb in the back corner of the engine bay. There is a rubber tee the connects the carb, brake servo & balance pipe. Follow the balance pipe across the back of the engine to the right carb where it connects with a rubber elbow. If they haven't got any obvious problems pop off the air box and check the short flexi hoses that link the metal pipes under the airbox. Also check the vac pipes are all still connected where they should be.

If you didn't have an air-box before where were the vac pipes for the carb connected? If the carbs were set-up without and air filter you'll probably need to re-adjust the mixture screws now you've got one fitted.
