Head swap!

Quick question hopefully with an easy reply, will a Golf 1600 GTD cylinder head fit the 1.6 TD in my van? i know mine is dead as it got well and truly cooked last year. Any thoughts before i rush out and buy one!

Dont know if this is any use regarding info,
this question you are asking is there any difference between the 2 heads is being bashed around lately with another forum user, The JX cylinder head is differrent in the valve setup from what I can make out its a Mechanical head (it has shims) but the GTD head is a Hydraulic Head (inverted buckets), I had this problem last year with a 1.6TD engine code SB from a Passat Mk3, I fitted a s/h head from a CS and had no issues at all, Same head configuration, it worked for me
