holes in floor

Post by kathyshack »

after ripping up the old floor in our van yesterday and laminating it, we noticed a few drilled holes (gas and water pipe etc)and little holes where self tappers had gone through. What should I so about these? do people just leave em, or should I be filling them with something?
thanks,
kathy

holes in floor

If there is rust around the holes, treat it with some rust treatment, then fill the small holes (self tappers) with Dum Dum. The larger holes will need something better depending how big they are. May be fiber glass or as I have done in the passed, use the self adhesive plastic flashing.

clean off the rust and paint both sides.. then a nut n bolt and a pair of washers, all zinc plated ones off course and then brush on some waxoil..

Well thats what I would do.......
