Does anyone have advice or tips on fitting a grp rear bumper over an early Westfalia towbar (c.1982) which doesn't have the little upstands to mount the centre part of the bumper?

Do I have to resort to drilling it and using front bumper mushroom bolts? I need to get them painted in the next 2 weeks...

PS Brickwerks now do a complete kit for fitting the rear bumper, stainless steel brackets and plated fasteners etc
Search for "GRP bumper fitting kit" on the webshop.
