T25 POP TOP ROOF RACK

Post by Allan344 »

Anybody know if you can buy a roof rack for a pop top that sits above the cab at the front of the 25 so it does not interfere with the pop top. :?

Allan
I got the roofrails off an old estate from a scrap yard - A Citroen Xantia I think?
Anyway - I bolted them through the pop top, and then used sealant to fill all the potential leaking points - I then added some typical roofbars to these rails.
Two years on, and it still holds fast and has not caused and side effect damage to pop top.
The only down side are the six screw heads and large washers on interior of the poptop roof -- but its a small price to pay for gettin the windsurfing kit on top.

Hope this helps.

What about something like this? It crossed my mind but not sure if it'll fit, might be worth looking into?

Spitfire boot rack?

Also, and sorta similar to jed and Bobass idea of putting on the pop-top, I went and had a look at the van talked about in this thread https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=28997 see the black bits on the pop? they're like mini gutter rails and although the owner couldn't confirm it, judging by the scratches on them it really looks like someones had a roof rack on it, plus you couldn't see the fixings on the inside.
