Danger,,,,,,,your assumption may be correct regarding the printed circuit behind the dash, if known concerns are to be belived....

Providing all other auxillary items are working eg, interior light, cigar lighter, radio as these often use the same fuse.....


Check fuse location/condition just in case it is fused independantly....

If you have a look at this site: http://www.vanagon.com/

You need to click on "Problems", and then "The Clock", it explains that Golf Mk2 clocks are interchangeable.

My clock doesn't work either, and I'll be trying this swap as soon as I get chance :)

Myine has not worked since I owned it, I use the minute hand as a temperature maximum indicator :)
