No thank you CJ, and Kat of course. Brilliant event, and some great local lanes. Weather was not too bad.
At the pub for lunch on Saturday. (The first group)

My boys enjoying a ride on Clives dub.
[IMG1536]http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa28 ... 050450.jpg[/img]
Both me and CJ suffered a puncture, but team tyre changing got the job done in minutes.
I picked up a rock under mine, wedged against the oil filter, given it a dent, but no problems.
[IMG1536]http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa28 ... 050461.jpg[/img]
It was great to meet all the other syncronauts.
Oh, and me coming down a very narrow and steep lane near Bickleigh.

With a bit of help, which is what the weekend was all about, I got a lot of advice from everyone there, and a special thanks to Clive for keeping an eye on me, Steffan for the ride in his 16" Doka and to Mike Ghia for cutting so many branches so my hightop could squeeze down where I bet no others have been before.!!

Devon devoured!
More lanes than you can shake a stick at... all T25 width +/- 1"
Big thanks to CJ and Kat for hosting Devon Lanes again, a very good 3 days that some of us turn into 5 days at the lovely Post Cross campsite.
Obviously lots of background organisation to find, recce and grade these lanes... so to go out on 3 succesive days this year was a treat, Sundays being the icing on the cake IMHO...
Still smiling

Cheers to CJ, Kat, especially Fred and everyone who came along and made it a great weekend good to meet some new faces, it was an excellent turnout,
Managed to get back in 5 and a 1/4 hours inc a fuel stop and tea break, steady 60 when possible, rain stopped North of Bristol and all good from there, and filling the van with broken gearboxes really reduces the road noise I found.
Hopefully next year I'll be driving the lanes instead of being Doug's passenger (Cheers Doug, nice truck for a diesel ) but I'm hoping there's a bit of cutting back on those two trees before then
Mr Futbus please call me sometime soon

A much enjoyed weekend, great driving (thankyou Clive) in a lovely part of the world, with a great bunch of people.
Thanks to Cj and Kat for the entertainment, the shelter and the loan of the T4 (nice!)
My journey home was 3 hours as I decided to leave the motorway and wend my way across the somerset levels and the mendips back to Bristol via the smallest roads I could find; some lovely country out there when you go and get lost in it !

Petrol consumption, awards, dogs and chickens
Thanks for another great Syncro weekend in Devon - great to talk to all of you who know so much about these amazing vehicles.
I used 47 L of unleaded on the lanes this weekend (to be clear that excludes getting to and from Devon) and loved every minute of it whilst trying not to think too hard about my carbon footprint.
I was driving and didn't really get any good shots of the other vehicles.
Here's a cheeky one of CJ and pooch...
One of Roger with Clive a few minutes after Aidan had bestowed the coveted 'Broken Diff' award....
And a picture for Sharon when she gets back from her holidays - the reason why Kerry didn't make it this weekend and at risk of majorly hijacking this thread....
For anyone that's interested:-
2 x Buff Orpingtons (English bird. Very big. Light brown eggs)
1 x Barnevelder (originates from Holland. Brown-laced colouring. Brown eggs)
1 x Welsummer (originates from Holland. Lays reddish brown eggs. Partridge colouring)
1 x Vorwerk (originates from Germany. Black & gold feathers. Rare breed laying cream eggs.
1 x Andalusian (blue/white rare breed bird from mediterranean that lays white eggs).
You can see them settling in to their temporary housing before the proper house thing gets built. Don't ask me, I'm just going to eat the eggs
Cheers
Steffan

Yes, extremely enjoyable weekend.
Lots of interesting lanes and people.
Thanks to CJ and Kat for organising the event and Freddie for an insight into a childhood long past.
And, the after dinner entertainment on Saturday was an added bonus or two!!
Hope to get around to downloading and posting a few pics - soon.
