Re: Devon Weekend 2015
Nick, will try to bring my meter, if I can find it
Pete, had a very vague response from my friend a real enthusiast for the Baja Cub since it started saying he wasn't doing much offroading anymore and doubted they would be there, that took him 3 weeks to reply, so don't know whats happening with their club these days.
Will bring two spare bikes in case anybody else wants to join us.
Have decided its probably better to go to Dartmoor on Saturday as its likely to have less people on the moor earlier in the weekend.

Re: Devon Weekend 2015
Really sad, but it looks like we can't make it to Devon after all. The cylinder head was rebuilt and fitted yesterday pm (wednesday) and when I drove it back from garage and left it idling for about 10-15 mins late last night, the water system pumped up!!!! split the header tank and emptied the water system. we think the head gasket hasnt sealed, so will have to come off again, this means I cant get it MOTed today (thursday) which means I cant road tax it as the present MOT runs out on 29th (sat) and road tax end of august.
Just run out of time.........Geoff

Change of plans (sorry!) means I can't make Saturday daytime any more, so will join you Saturday night & Sunday daytime instead, hope that's ok.

Hoping to pop up on Saturday evening.
Probably doing the canal trip in the day and then heading over to you late evening.
If anyone is reading this, Will you be back on campsite around 5pm?

Hi Karl,
We are on Dartmoor today so providing the bank holiday traffic isn't too bad I would have thought we'd be back by about 6ish.

Re: Devon Weekend 2015
A great couple of days.
Thanks firstly to Roger and Julia. There's loads of work goes into organising an event and its much appreciated. The lanes were great and Saturday on Dartmoor especially so.
Thanks also to Clive and Jenny - especially for getting me out of the ditch - hopefully Nick has it on video!
As always it was good to remake acquaintances and meet some new Syncronauts of all ages. I had the privilege of having Rob (Dutchdude) as a passenger for a day and a half and I learnt loads from our conversations in between sections. Rob's 16" Westy Syncro has to be my favourite travelling vehicle of all.
I've got a few photos and some video clips which I'll post up ASAP - but I think Nick will have an excellent record of the weekend.
Thanks again to everyone and looking forward to next year.
Pete

Re: Devon Weekend 2015
Big thank you from me too, especially to Roger & Julia, wasn't sure what I'd let myself in for on some of Sundays lanes, but great to do so much new driving on my doorstep and the van's come out the over side unscathed (phew!) Thanks Clive for driving the, erm, "coach" to the pub on Saturday night, Rob for the excellent company + spotting, and to everyone for making it such a fun weekend - first proper laning experience and I certainly wasn't disappointed.

Re: Devon Weekend 2015
Love the video... and the pictures...
I cant wait to get some green laning under my belt. Most of the lanes in Kent can be a bit low though, and the high top is massive!
