No fluffy green laning for me for a few months...

Work to do - shiny new chrome bumpers, new endcaps, chrome VW badges front and rear, underside steam clean and wax, refurb arch trims and make all the trim bits proper black, and last but not least a new Syncronauts sticker.

Looks the DBs outside, but the inside still looks like the home of The Young Ones. I can at last drive up to swanky hotels without comments of 'oh look, the carpet fitters have arrived in their van'.

Does this mean no more minced tyres/arches?
Will wonders ever cease?

Looking good.
Plenty of underseal and cavity wax now and your sorted.

That looks a great job, are you pleased with the work. Looks to be a good smooth finish.

I am very jealous, I don't think that mine will ever look like that.

Bodywork done by Ash and John at Syncrospares. They take some pride in their seams.
Paint done by Vince at CPM, next unit to Syncrospares.
I'll post some before pics when I get a chance.
I couldn't afford a full respray so work was limited to the rusty areas. Windows stayed in, roof and interior weren't touched.
It's the first bodywork and paint job I've ever had done, but I'm impressed with the quality of both works. Sides look very flat and the paint is cleanly done. Lots of custom fabrication as well as Schofields panels. Lots of sills replaced and bottom of rear and sliding door cut out and refashioned.

And no, I won't be going down any un-reconnoitred lanes for a while ...
