Dashboard issues

Post by JamieQPR »

Hi gang.

Elements of my dashboard have ceased to work.
  • The fuel gauge has stopped working
  • The engine temperature gauge has stopped working
  • I believe the battery light has stopped working
  • I have no idea if the check oil light is working, but obviously it's important it work
  • The indicator lights on the dashboard don't work, but the actual indicators do
  • The speedometer does work
  • The mileometer does work
I'm assuming this is probably a fuse. If my assumption is correct, how would I find out which fuse needs replacing?

Thank you in advance!

Not likely to be a fuse , I would guess the plugs come off perhaps

Where would I find the plug?

Under the dash pod , you need to pull clock top off and then look behind/ under the clocks

Sat in the drivers seat reach up above your right knee under the dash the 14pin loom plug for the dash cluster is reachable , give it a push and a “jiggle”
if that wont make any difference , as has been said above , take the top off the dash pod and investigate that way down

It would be nice to know how you resolved it.

I did exactly this:

Sit in the drivers seat reach up above your right knee under the dash the 14pin loom plug for the dash cluster is reachable , give it a push and a “jiggle”

Thanks again!
