Looking at Twinturbo's measurement of the dash connection, I see that the image resolution of CJH's connector board is not the same as that of the main board. Here are my measurements of the connector board in millimeters:

Thanks Icosahedron, looks like our final measurements were not too far off. The biggest difference I had was the height, I had a 3mm difference

This is an interesting post. I did some work on this a while ago

Happy to provide any files. I used jlc PCB to produce the PCBs and was very happy with the price and quality. I don't know how they do it for the prices they charge!!

Great post, James. I like your design. It looks like you also went with the multiple board design.

Appreciate the offer to share your files, my prototype is almost finished now.

Excellent progress, TT. I was given the final designs for my prototype a couple of days ago. JLCPCB are out of stock on 4 items needed to populate the board though, so I've got to sit tight until they've restocked next week. It's my first time using them though, so they've offered free assembly which is probably worth it.

how will you heat sink the voltage regulator ? Originally there's a metal plate, admittedly not massive, but necessary

Mica washers were used by CJH. They are meant to be great for heat absorption, do you think it needs a metal plate too? I can probably get one added while I'm waiting
