My story fitting seatbelts
Hi everyone, I've written an account of my fitting seatbelts to my van. Click here http://goo.gl/MWZIr Sorry I did it as a document, but it was a lot easier to fit the pictures in how I wanted them.
Re: My story fitting seatbelts
Nicely done, although couldn't see how you fixed the top mountings. Were they welded or bolted in?

I bolted everything. I didn't do any welding at all. I can't see those plates coming off in a hurry, especially with lock nuts.wragster wrote:Nicely done, although couldn't see how you fixed the top mountings. Were they welded or bolted in?

Nicely done. Has inspired me to upgrade the lap belt I currently have.

Hmm, it may be an issue with your browser and google docs. I'll post it up in html when I get time. I was busy last night with a petrol leak on the camper and tonight catching up on two lost nights of open uni workjamesc76 wrote:link dont work here !

Hi! We're new to this forum, just brought 1983 Devon conversion, pretty much in original condition - very exciting!! We want to fit 3 point belts to the 3/4 rock and roll bed in the back for our 12 and 14 year olds - thanks for this write up, it's really helpful - does anyone have any other experiences with fitting belts that they can share - it looks really daunting and we are really keen to make sure the kids are safe in the back. Thanks

I was daunted too. I tried to keep the cost down so I bought the belts that I linked to on the document, But the brickwerks belts were initially my first choice. The worst part of the job was altering my interior cupboards, and getting them back in. The actual fitting of the belts isn't too bad. Good luck with it.
