View from underside/inner sill:

http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa4 ... NY0024.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

and after repair:

http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa4 ... NY0309.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Over half the inner sill was rusted and/or missing so Guy made a new inner sill.

Clamped in place to check fit, just needs a little piece making where horizontal and vertical seal gap meet.

Piece made and started to spot in place

All finished and primed using red oxide.

Next job is to re-do the rear quarter panel that the previous owner made a right hash of:

http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa4 ... NY0273.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa4 ... NY0271.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Hope this has been enjoyable viewing for those that read.
Please take into account this isn't my own work, I had the pleasure of watching and learning.

Could anybody provide me with a picture of how the rear quarer panel should fit/sit alongside the sliding door and the door runner?
Any help appreciated.

Thanks, Jon.

When you look at this picture its the vetical just to the right (out of shot) that I need to know what it looks like. You know where the seal runs down the right side and the rear quarter panel starts?

But I have just thought my door is off and yours will most probably be on.

It seems that this job done today was the biggest and hardest to tackle. There are a lot of other areas that need attention but the welder is used to classic car restoration so should be OK :ok

Any ideas?

Cheers, Jon.

I thought that too but apparently gloves and ear muffs were fine.
He did a lot of the welding tacks without a mask too.
