Lurching
2.1 mv with dj ignition.
On very little or neutral throttle I'm getting really bad lurching. Usually at lowish revs. Making it awful to drive, especially in traffic.
Does hunt a little on tickover and the revs go a little wild sometimes if the steering wheel is rotated. (power steering)
With the little knowledge I have I have checked for air leaks. Also thought it may be a problem with the idle control. I can feel it vibrating and I tested it's resistance 4.8 ohms. So I think this is okay.
What else should I be looking at?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Lurching
Seems to be getting worse and definitely worse sub 2k revs.
Clutch biting point seems quite low, I don't know if this could be anything to do with it?

Re: Lurching
setting of idle control switch ? If it's switching to idle too early then that would cause the symptoms described

Re: Lurching
Is there a way of checking this or do I replace?

Re: Lurching
Adjusted switch and no different. Get a strange miss fire or knock. I took video to see if there are any ideas. See after 20 secs.
Will be getting this booked in with a local guy next week. Shame as we want to use the van for CamperJam.

Re: Lurching
Fixed it by having a TDI fitted.
Was told by a local old skool VW specialist to put it on a rolling road.
