Blimey! I didn't realize that was available. Handy to back up my Haynes and Bentleys. :ok

There is this American version from 1983: https://www.vwt25.com/articles/water-co ... ents-1983/

I saw the 1.9 Workshop manual on eBay a while ago after the auction had ended. Tried contacting the buyer to see if they'd scan it in but heard nothing back. :(

Marco has asked what it is you want to know.
Why would the glass be anything other than half full?

I want the page for crank dims becase I assume thats what late style Standard bearings are for, DJ had blue or red speified which I assume are tighter tolerance.

Bentley and VW 2.1 manuals only give crank dims for blue and red as I read them, blue bearings NLA

Thanks Bigherb and Mitch

loking at the vag cat page 025 198 461 A is listed for both DG and DJ, I hadn't noticed that before

https://www.brickwerks.co.uk/t3-parts/e ... x-all.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

so it looks to me that standard is bob on 60 & 55 for bearing 1, 2 and 3 late engines
blue is up to 0.02 under and red up to 0.029 under.

The fact they bothered making bearings with such a small difference says to me it's important, so now we are faced with blue cranks being rebuilt with standard bearing sets and up to 0.02 increased clearance, I'd be surprised if that wasn't a factor.

only solution I see is a regrind and undersize bearings, expensive.
