Not t25 polo aircon pipe replacement

Post by itchyfeet »

Any aircon experts out there?
polo aircon failed, garage said no gas in system so obvoisly its leaked out
pressure tested it to 9 bar and couldnt find a leak
charged me for that and a refil with uv dye 84 quid
within a few hours its stopped working gas leaked out
i can see from the dye its a pclip that has held water and rusted through the pipe

So i know its going to cost a fortune for the garage to replace the pipe, refil, vat etc

i can buy the pipe for £162 on ebay but my question is anybody know how the connections are made, its not obvious and haynes is as much use as a chocolate air con pipe?
almost looks like quick fit connections?

Could i do it myself and then get it regassed? Any tips greatfully recieved
