Stub axles - PAS query

A bit of an oddity I know but...... I need to change my front hubs (non PAS), I have refurbished PAS replacements ready to go as I'm planning on installing oem PAS in the spring. My question is, other than the tracking, what else may be affected by driving with a non-PAS rack at the same time as PAS...

Re: Slider lock action

That's kind of you, despite me looking for a new one I'd like to accept yours as I am currently without any barrel at all which renders the van less secure than usual!

Does anybody know if they are available new?

Re: Slider lock action

Slowcoach has a late handle whereas the photo of the new handle is an early.  Lates are currently unavailable, earlies will fit a late door but don't feel as smooth when locking.

I'm currently looking for just a barrel (late), does anyone know if these are available to purchase?

Re: Various locks and keys question

With the help of YouTube and Covkid I recently referred my locks so they all fit the 1 key. I've still to do the ignition and fuel cap (ordering a new fuel cap soon) and I can honestly say yes a really easy job. The major problem I had is that 2 of the barrels were so badly corroded the brass wafers...

Plasticman

Anybody know how to access Plasticman's detailed description and photos of front wheel arch replacement?  The man himself doesn't appear to have logged on recently which is a shame,

As I detest pop rivets I've attached my brackets with rivnuts and studs, all stainless.

Re: Sikaflex tips please

I use sikaflex for work in construction and it's quite a rare product in that no matter what method you use to seal the nozzle after use before storing it will cure within the tube not long after. I really like the product but loathe to use a new tube for a tiny amount knowing full well I'll have to...

Re: Insulation in van

Condensation isn't an issue as mine is full panel with a full bulkhead. I installed loads of silentcoat in the cabin area and the same with the insulation. It made a big difference which will help even more once new door seals are fitted.

Re: Insulation in van

I've used Silentcoat followed by the self adhesive foil backed closed cell product linked below.

A different intermediate steering shaft is also required, or so I've been lead to believe.

Did you clear the drain holes and wax the inside cavity whilst you were in there?

Re: How to wire a heated rear window switch

You'll need to 'fish' the cable down the A-pillar. I used electrical 'fishing' rods up the A-pillar (push up from beneath the dash) until it poked through and was visible. To ease the process, remove the grab handles first, my rod kept hitting the screw which protrudes into the pillar. Once you the ...
