Re: Petrol

The Cohline hose with the blue writing is 100% ethanol proof so all good Stu, i'm not sure about the other piece so might be worth firing a pic across to Brickwerks for confirmation.

Re: Respray

Sorry to hear that, there’s some right w4nkers out there. You’re probably looking at between £250/£300 a panel, so maybe around £750 to a grand for one side. A full respray can be £2k upwards. If you only do the one side, the problem you then have (depending on colour) is the colours not matching el...

Re: Stumble, stall under throttle

In addition to the testing above, I had the same kind of issue which turned out to be a failing coil. I had an crap aftermarket one in place which failed and would only work on pull away & almost full throttle, nothing in between. To check go for a short drive and then feel the coil, if it is ho...

Re: Rocker cover oil leak with new gaskets

I have silicone gaskets but found there was slight leakage whereas there was nothing from the cork ones. I used a very liberal coating of hylomar and it’s been fine since.

Re: Drive away awning

I have an Olpro Cocoon Breeze inflatable awning which i can well recommend - goes up in minutes, sleeps 5 and really easy to set up.  You can also buy a porch to add on as well.  Only downside is that its quite bulky and can be a bugger to get back in the bag. That said i got it on eBay direct from ...

Might be worth having a look at the restoration threads as there should be some decent pictures in there.

Re: Petrol

I’d strongly suggest filling up with Super Unleaded as that will still be E5 for another few years.

Unless you haven’t done so, a good time to change your fuel hoses to the Cohline product by Brickwerks as that’s 100% ethanol proof.

It is the ruddy roads for sure, all these pot holes!
