Re: Looking at getting a T25 Syncro??
Thanks for the reply.
Not cheap to run in what way? Fuel costs or do they break down lots?
A panel van is what I'm after, looking around though i cant believe the cost of them, looks like I'll have to sell some stuff first!
thanks

Looking at getting a T25 Syncro??
Hi all, as stated in the title of the post, I'm thinking of getting a T25 Syncro. I used to have a T25 panel van and regret ever selling it. I would like a Syncro as i love T25's but also do a lot of shooting and ferreting so would like something with off-road capabilities. I currently own a Suzuki ...

Re: Think ive done a bad thing!!!!
It rocks about quite a lot, though have noticed the engine mounts are almost non existent. I think maybe it is a tappet setting as i took it out for a quick drive and it was really slow and took longer than normal for the revs to build up and occasionally backfired. I'll take a look at that site and...

Re: Think ive done a bad thing!!!!
Yep, justkampers is where i got mine, they seem to be the best place for everything. Have got the van running but the engine seems to vibrate a lot when releasing off the accelerator and a bit on tickover. Why is this? Is it just the valve clearences? Also what are the valve clearences meant to be? ...

Re: Think ive done a bad thing!!!!
Thanks for all your help and advice. After reading all the comments i was getting a bit worried but failed to believe it was a case of give up and get a new engine. So i thought id at least have a go and welded a nut to the end of the stud, to my surprise it turned straight out, i was expecting it t...

Re: Think ive done a bad thing!!!!
Thank you all for your help, i'm going to have a go at getting the stud out as i have nothing to lose by trying, if i cant do it i'll have to look for a second hand engine.
Thanks again

Re: Think ive done a bad thing!!!!
I needed to replace my exhaust as mine had basically broken into 3 seperate pieces. Like everyting else on the van all the nuts and studs were really tough to get off, 2 of the studs snapped off in the process so had to take the head off to get at the broken studs. It has turned into one of those jo...

Re: Think ive done a bad thing!!!!
I have no plans to get rid of the van at all, it is my daily car so really could do with it working, what sort of prices are recon engines as i dont have much money to spend on it at all? If changing the bolts really is that bad then i guess another engine is the way forwards.

Re: Think ive done a bad thing!!!!
Oh man this isn't the news i wanted to hear!! So where can i get hold of an Elite engine and at what cost? I think i saw someone on here selling a good condition 1.9df engine fairly cheap, then if i swap my heads etc over it becomes a dg? Is it possible to get hold of just the part of engine i need ...

Think ive done a bad thing!!!!
Hi all, i have just snapped one of the head bolts on my 1.9dg engine! My question is this but i think i know the answer. The bolt that has snapped is the number 1 one, the number 3 one is fairly close, does anyone know if it would be ok to just torque all the other bolts up leaving number 1? If not ...
