Re: Never ending oil leaks
I had a much closer look at the leaks today, removed the lower tinware and lay underneath with the engine running. Unless I'm much mistaken its the bloody pushrod seals again...in a way I'm glad its nothing worse. BUT this is the second time I've replaced them! I've used GSF and Just Kampers seals, ...

Re: Never ending oil leaks
Thanks, I'll be having a better look when the rain stops. I'm already using the Morris oil, and I'm sure the oil is running down from somewhere above the pushrod's I just hope its nothing to serious.

Never ending oil leaks
I'm having trouble finding a final fix for my 20l Aircooled lust to leak oil. I have now replaced the pushrod seals twice, and now suspect the leak could be coming from elsewhere. It started by a small drip seen forming at the base of the right hand side of the engine case, but its now leaking from ...

Re: oil leak localisation - then what??
New set of rocker cover gaskets woth replacing (about £1 each), along with the seals thats all you need.
You can access it all from under the van without removing anything but tinware, and as you have none not an issue!

Re: oil leak localisation - then what??
Pushrod seals are easy enough to change, remove rocker covers then unbolt the 2 sets of rocker gear, remove the pushrod retaining wire (make a note of how it fits) and then remove the tubes out through the head. I found a little twist and a pull with a pair of pliers freed them. Replace seals (bough...

Re: Pushrod oil seals leaking?
My 2ltr Aircooled has been leaking oil for some time now, replaced the rocker cover gaskets as the easy option, but no luck, so suspect like you the push rod seals. Following a 2 hour motorway run I topped up oil, (maybe a bit to much) and now my leak is massive!! I get oil smoke wafting around the ...

Re: Brake Master Cylinder
I changed my clutch cylinder shortly after buying my van, and finding an old sock wrapped around the top of it soaking up the leaking fluid. I bought the part new off ebay, it was German made and quality looked good. Fitting wasn't as bad as it initialy looked, just a case of unbolting, disconnectin...

Engine races when cold.
Hello and happy new year. Does anybody know how to adjust the engine idle speed when things are cold and its running on choke. (2.0l Aircooled twin Solex). After a few miles the idle speed is spot on, but when cold it races at a scary pace, I can almost drive to work without touching the throttle pe...

Had another quick look today, and your right the instrument pod came off easy, and by twisting my neck into an un-natural position and looking down I could see the master cylinder and servo unit, packed amongst looms of cable. I pumped the pedal a few times, and could not see any leaks, the fluid ho...

Picked up our T25 last week. Having a proper nose about once I got it home, and have also found a fluid leak in the drivers footwell, A previous owner had wrapped an old sock around the top of the brake pedal to soak up the fluid!! What I can't establish is if the leak is clutch or brake cylinder re...
