Dash flexible PCB replacement, my own design
My dash was doing weird stuff which led me down a rabbit Warren....... I first looked at swapping some components but not many were available. Then I thought maybe some broken traces but every thing I looked at just showed age and compromise. Steps so far: Did some measurements and created a super s...

1.9dg petrol want to move battery to engine bay
Hello all, I would like to move my main (and only) battery to the engine bay as having it under my driver seat isnt Ideal and there is plenty of room in the engine bay. I plan to route a new starter cable from the new location to the starter, new cable for charging and then finally one new cable to ...

Re: Alternative cab door whistle stops? (with sample pic)
I know it is an old thread butmy bus suffers from the dreaded wind noise and at times can meet motorway speed limits. Did anyone try the woolies trim option and did it make a difference
Or are there any other options?
Cheers

Re: Rhoen wheel arches
interesting feedback thanks guys, its more the rears that i think need the covers as they can throw crud into the engine bay as they are very open. the fronts are quite enclosed i removed my breather tanks when i first renewed my fuel tank and they are nice and clear under there. might put this into...

Rhoen wheel arches
Hello all, Looking forward to bringing my bus out for the summer months from its slumber and looking for a few jobs to tidy up and improve my bus. Found these on the internet and look like a good product to stop the spray and crud from getting to the paintwork. Has anybody ordered/fitted these befor...

Re: quick bolt question hopefully
thanks herb just got 2 stainless steel ones with matching nyloc nuts instead, didnt realise the finer threads were less prone to wriggling loose thats probably why i cant get the buggers off now!!!

Re: quick bolt question hopefully
thanks for the replies guys, i know the spec says a 1.5mm thread but would it make a difference if i used a standard 2.0 thread as long as the nut was the correct type? sorry if thats a silly question?
also I assume it wouldnt be a problem to use a slightly higher rated tensile strength?

quick bolt question hopefully
Hello, just a quick question I hope, I have fitted new rear suspension to my bus very successfully but....... the front suspension has caused more of a problem, specifically that the bottom bolt 22mm bolt (connects the shock absorber to the trailing arm(think thats what its called) wont budge even a...

Re: Fuel expansion tank breather hoses/pipes
i removed mine completely and just plumbed the holes on top of the tank up. the breather on the petrol fill pipe is more than enough breathing for this country even in our best weather. never had any problems since removal.

Re: clutch or related issues
just thought I would close this thread off with a report on what it was. my mechanic found a worn pinion bearing which holds the shaft from the gearbox. this was waggling around just enough to stop gears from engaging or clutch from disengaging (not quite sure) new bearing and new clutch while he wa...

Re: clutch or related issues
thanks for the pics they help explain a lot of what is where and makes more sense than me being upside down on my back in the footwell. I am leaning more towards muck or blockage in the system as my bus has been sandblasted and when i got it the slave cylinder was shot at would it be possible to rep...

Re: clutch or related issues
clutch fluid was replaced about 5 years ago from my recollection but i had literaly driven the bus 30 metres and then pushed hard on the brake it wouldn't be what I call stomping on it i have no obvious leaks from the master cylinder but dont really know where to go from here. I bought a new slave c...
