Thanks, I was beginning to think this might be the answer. We've all just got soft over the years !

Guess I just have to get my wife to try one without PAS and the issue goes away...hopefully !! I suppose the rule is to keep the steering wheel and road wheels standard.

PAS is a must have in order to sell the idea to the wife. Any ideas on the % with and % without PAS.

Apologies if this has been asked before, but at what point was power steering fitted as standard for UK vehicles, or was this always an option ? I'm looking to buy a late ('88 on) camper next year. Would I be correct to assume that all conversions with an auto box would also have PAS ? Thanks, Stephen
