Re: Early gearbox fitting to late van

Bit more info.....

In my van is an ACP

And it's a DK I want to fit.

So it looks like it's just the gear linkage. Is it just the rear half of the DK linkage I need?

Thanks for info so far....

Early gearbox fitting to late van

I have a 1990 t25 with 4 speed box. Is it possible to change the gearbox for the early DU type. Bell housing and clutch cylinder etc all looks like it will fit. Anybody any experience of the mount - I have the mount on each gearbox type so hopefully have it covered. The question is the gear linkage ...

diesel aaz gearbox ratios, changing box etc

Hi all I have an AAZ lump bolted up to an ACP gearbox which has a final drive ratio of 5.83 - which is a four speed original 1.6 or 1.6 diesel box. There is large diameter tyres on the rear - big as will comfortably go under the arches So this means its a bit of a revver - no rev counter but it is c...

Re: rear wheel beaings - how much play

Spot on chaps - movement at 6 and 12 but none at 9 and 3. I will take this info with me should the tester raise an eyebrow - Its a Kwik Fit MOT as they are only changing £25 - but the price of this may be a tester without much 'knowledge' - but their tyres are a super bargain at the moment as well -...

rear wheel beaings - how much play

Hi MOT is due - and the rear wheel bearings have a bit of play - the question is how much is acceptable for MOT and safety. They do not grumble, whine or roar. About 3 mm rock at the tyre tread. I have searched the Wiki etc but found no answer there. Parts are about £60 for bearings - but can you st...

Re: Kids getting bigger - change hi top for pop top

So the Viking roof looks just what I need having considered removing the high top and putting a viking roof on - the problems are too many (find viking roof, spoil good hi-top van etc) So I guess I need to find a good condition 1.9dg viking roof T25. Either that or buy a tent and force the kids to s...

heat is what kills the 1.9/2.1 motors flat 4 water cooled motors (oh and thrashing the breasticles off them) so if the water falls out - due to corrosion - they go up in smoke. When they overheat the valve heads fall off and heasds crack, oil thin to water so bearings get knocked out, etc - everyone...

High Tp t25 cover

Hi with winter approaching - the season for dampness and rust - what is the opinion on a waterprooof breathable outdoor cover. Do they actually help or just trap damp air around the van and rub the paint off the corners as they flap in the wind? Does anybody make such an item? My van is a T25 Autosl...

Securon Seat Belts

Morning to all - I stuck this post in Camper aswell - not sure where it would get most viewing......
