I think one thing this can achieve is.. Instead of quoting the whole post with a 'Comment' to indicate you appreciate or just like the view or infornation expressed, a quick 'Like/Love' does much the same without such a heavy overhead and thread length. I suppose can also be seen as a quick holding ...
