Watermouth Holiday Park (just around the corner from Ilfracombe) has a nice campsite with a pub and a lovely bay / harbour. Good theme park just a few minutes stroll away too.

Like the blog. You're right - everyone must have a VW Camper Tee. My gilrs have them. I thought one of those haynes manual cut out pics would be good for me....

Ahoy there South Devon campers!

We're heading off to France from Plymouth in may. We've opted for the day ferry which leaves at about 7 in the morning so we were wondering whether or not to park up in plymouth or in the Saltash area overnight rather than wake the kids up at 4 to get there in time from Bideford... Any good places c...

My fuel gauge only goes up to about half way no matter how much I put in. Very depressing really. And then when it starts to drop you can almost see it moving. It's like a race to see if I can get home before it goes into the red... Anyway, to the point. Is it tricky to replace the sender? Does the ...

Thermostat question...

Browsing through the wiki I came across the article about why a thermostat is important. Sounds reasnable. And now I'm concerned because my mechanic suggested bypassing it and running with the flaps open all the time to 'avoid problems with it'. Now I'm confused. She runs great when she's warm but I...

We just got a set made up by Sarah at vwcampercurtains.co.uk She did a great job, sent us material samples before we committed, made them fullt lined (can do blackout linings too), shorter for over the worktop, all the bits and trimmings, tabs poppers etc. About £150. IF I could work the photo thing...

weld or replace?

Hello. Got a rusty sliding door. Who hasn't I know, but I thought some one might be able to give me the benefit of their experience in this tricky area. Basically it looks like I could get away with replacing the lower part of the door. Of course the alternative is to get a replacement door. Any ide...
