I haven't got a compressor unfortunately, might look to get one.
I suppose if I do often enough oil changes just emptying the sump won't be the end of the world?

Oil change with oil cooler
Hi, I'm after a bit of advice.
Last year I fitted the larger Brickwerx oil cooler to my 1.6td JX. I want to change the oil but not sure how to do it properly so that I get as much of the oil out as possible,?
TIA

Solar, powerbank & leisure battery
Hi I'm after a bit of advice re. solar power :) I've bought a allpower 2000w powerbank and a 200W portable panel to charge it. I need it mainly so we're not tied to campsites abroad with ehu (tbh we only use the electricity for the fridge - waeco crx50 - and the hairdryer for the missus). What I ne...

Thanks for all the replies lads, I knew he had to be wrong as the screws he's sent just look much smaller when fitted.

Tailgate & indicator screw issue
Hi The screws on my indicators & rear lights were looking tired so I ordered some new stainless ones. When they've come they are smaller thread and with smaller heads than the originals (and the front and rear are also different lengths). I've had 3 T25's and the screws have all looked like the ...

Re: specialists in durham?
Hi. I'm a brand new member to the forum. I'm really interested in buying a t25. But i'm often described as the son of frank (I'm not very handy with tools haha). So ideally I would be looking for a garage to look after my van. I will of course be buying the books and trying to learn as much as I ca...

Re: Glow plugs light issue...
Ah OK, I think mine probably did the same as yours but when cold i never really noticed as would just start it after 10 secs or so, it was just the light being on at normal temp that bugged me. Sensor is at the back of the head, or at least it is on my 1Y, wire is Blue/White which should help you f...

Re: Glow plugs light issue...
I assume you're referring to warm/hot starts? I had same issue with mine (albeit a 1.9 1y engine) when i first got it and it was just the wire to the glow plug sensor had come adrift. Might be that simple or maybe the sensor itself is faulty, cheap to replace and rule out. No mate, everytime. Does ...

Re: Replacement Engine.
Considering my camper is a T 25 1.9l petrol DG engine with a 4 speed gearbox, is it time to maybe consider a diesel conversion?? I've just put a Skoda aef 1.9d in mine and I'm pretty pleased with it. Managed to get one with a verified 65,000 miles on it and it's really quiet and a big improvement o...

Glow plugs light issue...
I've got a problem with my glow plugs light. When I go to start the engine and turn the key the light comes on but doesn't go off - so I just wait the 15 or so seconds that it would have taken before going out, then start the engine. The minute the engine starts the light goes out. I don't think it'...

Re: Foglight rocker switch wiring?
The switch is a two position switch and the tell tail only comes on in the second position I think That must be correct. I found the missing wire and when I connected it up the tell-tale works as well now (second position). So my rear foglights are working (result) - but the front ones aren't worki...

Not lighting on any position on mine, but as I say front fogs are coming on but not the rear.

Re: Foglight rocker switch wiring?
Just the telltale bulb I would say. It was on mine.https://volkswagen.7zap.com/en/rdw/typ+2+syncro/t2/1983-4/9/941-140000/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; So one of these would sort out the telltale, and the switch is working, so it must be the wire coming from the switch (...
